Terms of use
The rules for using Rook, in plain English.
Who we are
Rook is run by Rook Invest ("Rook", "we", "us") at rookinvest.com. By creating an account or using Rook, you agree to these terms, the privacy policy and the not-investment-advice notice.
A private preview
Rook is in an invitation-only preview. Features, data and availability will change, and some parts are unfinished. It is free during the preview. If that ever changes, we will tell you first, and you can choose whether to continue.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Your account is for you alone. Don't share your sign-in or your invitation link.
- Keep your password private. Tell us at once at hello@rookinvest.com if you think someone else has used your account.
Information, not advice
Everything in Rook is general market information and research context. It is not investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and nothing in it tells you to buy, sell or hold anything. Read the full notice.
No guarantees
Market data, scores, headlines and company figures come from many sources. They can be late, incomplete or wrong, and Rook can be unavailable. Rook is provided "as is", without promises of accuracy, availability or results.
Connected accounts
You can choose to connect public wallet addresses or read-only exchange access. Rook never asks for permission to trade or withdraw, a recovery phrase or a private key, and it rejects access that could move money. You can disconnect at any time; revoking a key at the exchange is up to you.
Fair use
- Don't copy, resell or republish Rook's pages or data.
- Don't scrape Rook, overload it, or try to get around its security.
- Headlines, filings and other material from outside sources belong to their owners. Follow the links to read them at the source.
Your information
Your notes, watchlists and portfolio entries stay yours. You let us store and process them only to run Rook for you. The privacy policy explains the details.
Losses and limits
You are responsible for your own investment decisions and any losses. As far as the law allows, Rook Invest is not liable for trading or investment losses, lost profits, or indirect damages from using Rook or relying on it.
Ending use
You can stop using Rook and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put Rook or other members at risk.
Changes and questions
We may update these terms. When we do, the date above changes, and we will tell members about important changes. Questions: hello@rookinvest.com.
